A software engineer interested in Fashion in New York City @NYU
Growing up in Xinjiang, China, I studied in Beijing Jiaotong University for undergrad since 2018 - 2023, spent one year as an exchange student at UC Berkeley, and then went to New York for masters at NYU. After arriving in New York, I started exploring ways of entrepreneurship. I enjoy knowing new people at events and talking about what we're doing. I found my team working with solutions helping fashion entrepreneurs find suitable, reliable manufactures worldwide. At the same time, I enjoy attending hackathons and traveled half of the states in Spring 2024 from east coast to the mid wide, as well as the south. I am always on my way exploring new places, knowing new people and building cool projects.
My first internship started in Beijing 2023, with python and Flask combined under Lark development framework. At the end of it, I traveled to New York for master. At NYU, I explored my ways of entrepreneurship, and found my team and passion in fashion combined tech. All these time, I worked with creating applications, building machine models (Tensorflow), and now my work is more about data engineering.
I started programming since my freshman year in 2018 with C, and found passion on it since my junior coding a project on Matlab. I started to deal with different technique, building projects with Java, Python, Golang, then different frameworks - React, Next, Flask, FastAPI etc. My biggest interest is creating beautiful visual effect website but practical to people.
Along the journey of programming, I am finding more and more alignment of beauty and code. First thing is designing good-looking websites and applications. Others, I am on my way finding the answer.
The projects are mainly hackathons and some side projects out of interest.
TeaTone: a web platform helping people know their favorite Chinese tea.
UntedMemory: a mobile app tracking aged people certain phone behavior for signs to prevent memory loss and notify their family member through AI chatbot.
TodoAPP: manage your tasks by priority, reminding what you need to do, and record what you've completed.
Last but not least, I like making friends! If something felt aligning, why not connect!?
